Nonlinear coherent structures of electrostatic ion cyclotron wave induced by a moving obstacle

The excitations of nonlinear electrostatic ion cyclotron waves arising from a steadily moving charged obstacle are investigated in collisionless plasmas. In the weakly and dispersive limit, it is shown that obstacle-induced can be described by forced Ostrovsky-type model equation. exact analytical solution predicts equation does have periodic for specific analytic form obstacle. computational results noteworthy, which predict generation coherent structures, such as bipolar, sawtooth, multi-harmonic, electric field at transcritical speed along with wave packets. agree well astrophysical observations auroral
